Our Services
Three services. Each with a clear scope, a fixed price, and a written result.
Briarsteep does not offer a broad menu. The three services here reflect the three situations we have seen families in most frequently.
← HomeOur Approach
How every engagement is structured.
Each Briarsteep engagement starts with a short intake exchange — usually a phone call or brief written exchange — to understand the household's situation and confirm which service is appropriate. Once scope and price are agreed in writing, the work begins.
For index and retainer engagements, the coordinator visits the household to work through physical and digital records directly. For the sibling workshop, all adult participants gather for a single facilitated day. In all cases, the engagement produces a physical written document that belongs to the household.

Service 01
Family Reference Index Build
Over one month, a documentation coordinator works through all meaningful records held by the household — physical and digital — and produces a single printed reference book. Every document is catalogued by category, its storage location is recorded, and notes are added on how the document is renewed or updated. The book becomes the household's single source of reference for paperwork.
This service suits families who already maintain reasonably organised records but have no unified overview of where everything is. The work is purely administrative; the coordinator does not interpret documents for any regulated purpose.
What is included
- Two in-household working visits within the month
- Full categorisation of physical and digital records
- Document location notes for every item
- Renewal and update instructions per document
- Review session before final handover
- Printed reference book handed to household
- Correction within 30 days at no additional charge
Service 02
Inter-Sibling Operating Agreement Workshop
A structured one-day workshop for adult siblings who share the administrative load of an older parent's household. Common responsibilities include paying household bills, maintaining a shared renewal calendar, and managing the collection or submission of standard civil documents. A Briarsteep household communication facilitator leads the session.
By the end of the day, participants have produced a written operating arrangement — a simple, practical document they have all agreed to use among themselves. This is an informal, non-binding arrangement; it is not a substitute for professional advice in any regulated subject.
What is included
- One full workshop day (approximately six hours)
- Neutral facilitator managing the session agenda
- Discussion of bills, calendars, renewal management
- Drafting and review of written operating arrangement
- Printed arrangement handed to all participants

Service 03
Long-Range Family Documentation Retainer

This covers operational questions about filing, assistance with requesting replacement copies of standard public records, quarterly refreshes of the household index, and an end-of-year written summary.
Designed for families who manage paperwork across more than one property, care for a parent with an extensive administrative history, or move regularly between cities and need a single consistent contact for household paperwork questions. Administrative scope only throughout.
What is included
- Year-round availability for filing and administrative questions
- Four quarterly index refreshes
- Assistance with replacement record requests
- End-of-year written household document summary
- Single named coordinator across the full year
